William Trescot Narrative - The Last Four Months of Buchanan's Administration, 1860-1861
William Trescot was Assistant Secretary of State during the administration of James Buchanan. This typescript of his narrative came from the estate of Jeremiah Black, Attorney General during the Buchanan administration, to Mrs. Ellen Danaher, who gave it to a member of the Society.
